The Outreach Radar


1. Create an “Outreach Radar” patient list


In the Tracking Board tab click Patient List

Click the + icon next to the Tracking Board

Swap to the Orders tab

Check the top box then add a new order filter

Give the filter a name (1), search for and select the Outreach referral - Doctor order (2) not AKI, then add it to the list (3) before clicking Ok (4).

Change the Order Selection Filter to your newly created filter in the dropdown.

Now add a new Order Status Filter.

Give this a name (1), make sure you can choose Order Priorities (2), select the Activated status (3) then click Ok (4).

Next move to the Location tab (1), choose the 3rd radio button (2), click the Trust name (3), add it to the list (4) and click Ok (5).

2. Add a patient to the Outreach Radar

Click on the Enter Order button.

or

Enter Outreach into the search box and choose the first form (not AKI!)

Fill in the starred boxes then click Ok

Submit the order

The Patient will now be on everyone’s Outreach Radar List.
You can use Critical Care Doctors Handover flowsheets for patients on the Radar as for on Critical Care. \

The details in the flowsheets will be printed with the Outreach Radar list (see below!).

3. Remove a patient from the Outreach Radar

Click on the Orders tab (1) and find the Outreach Doctors referral (2) and right-click it.

Choose Discontinue/Cancel from the menu

Give a reason (e.g. no longer clinically indicated) then click Ok

The patient will now be removed from everyone’s Outreach Radar and will not be printed on the Handover Sheet.

4. Printing the Outreach Radar

Make sure you are in Patients Lists (not tracking board) view and your Outreach Radar list is selected.

Click the print icon in the menu bar.

Make sure the Patient Lists dropdown is selected and the Critical Care Doctors Handover Report is chosen.

You can then print or preview as needed.
